Can cropped PDF content still be recovered?

Sometimes. Cropping changes the visible page area and may leave underlying objects in the PDF internals.

How does cropping affect PDFs with mixed page sizes?

The same margin values are applied to each selected page, so final visible areas can differ across letter, legal, landscape, and scanned pages.

Why can the same crop margins look different across pages?

Pages may have different dimensions, rotations, or existing crop boxes. Reopen the output and check every selected page before sharing.

Is drawing a black rectangle the same as redaction?

No. A black cover shape can hide text visually without securely removing the underlying content.
