Merge PDF, Split PDF, PDF to Text, Extract Images from PDF, Remove PDF Annotations, Rotate PDF, Delete PDF Pages, Extract PDF Pages, Organize PDF, Number Pages, Crop PDF, Watermark PDF, PDF Metadata Cleaner run in your browser. Those workflows do not upload file contents to the PDFToolkit server.
For browser-local extraction tools, generated TXT text, extracted image ZIP files, and annotation-cleaned PDF copies remain in the current browser session until you download, clear, or close the page.
Compress PDF, JPG to PDF, PDF to JPG, Protect PDF upload the selected file to the server for the requested task. The processed file is returned directly to the browser instead of creating a public result page.
Server processing - 4 tools
Files are uploaded temporarily for the requested processing task.

Temporary server files are removed when the processing request finishes. Cleanup is also attempted when processing fails. Browser download blobs remain only in the current browser session.
The current public product does not require accounts for core tools, does not publish a payment workflow, and does not use uploaded documents for model training.
Documents processed by the current live tools are not sent to third-party AI services. AI-labeled pages are guides and do not accept files.
PDFToolkit does not send file contents, PDF text, passwords, generated download URLs, complete file names, metadata field values, watermark text, page thumbnails, Blob URLs, or local result files to analytics in the current public app.
PDFToolkit currently does not use product analytics for browser-local document content.
